Is how I would explain my style, from the gut maybe explains it even better. I have no formal training and sometimes I feel like that's a plus because it allows me to stay honest to my art. What I do rely on are moments and every experience in my life, chance encounters and conversations directly effect every drawing I do, with out them how could my art have life?
As you move through my site I think you will see my growth as an artist, my journey is evident from piece to piece. From the older drawings to the newer ones, one thing is evident, I love to draw, I am still as passionate today as I was as a small boy with pencil and paper in hand and to this day I still fear a blank piece of paper, the fear and wonder of what might be. If overconfidence ever replaces the excitement of that moment it would undoubtedly be my last drawing.
If i could offer any advice it would be to draw everyday and more importantly draw what moves you.
Draw from the Inside out.
Enjoy my site.
Marc.
